Airbag
Yes, the system is completely reusable. As the end user, you can insert a new inflator and refold the airbag yourself. Simply follow our video instructions. Then you can continue your ride. Alternatively, you can also use our "Inflator Replacement & System Check" service. This includes a complete check of the system and airbags by us. We will also fold the airbag for you. We are not aware of any cases to date, but if the airbag is damaged, we can also replace it.

No, the backpack does not need to be serviced annually. Even after a deployment, the airbag fabric can be checked independently for damage and does not need to be sent in for maintenance. Smaller holes do not restrict the protective function.
General
Flight information: Download this document if you want to take the backpack and inflator with you when traveling by air. Register the transportation of the inflator with the respective airline before departure(IATA table). You will find the data in the document.
For the flight, you should remove the cartridge from the release unit and place it and the black protective cap next to the unit.
Our backpacks have a small zippered storage compartment at the front for a cell phone, keys and similar items. The side space to the right and left of the electronics unit can also be used as storage space, for example for a water bottle or a change of shirt.
Our backpacks also have a helmet net that can be attached or detached if additional storage options are required. For example, a helmet or jacket can be stretched into the space in between, but it also has an additional insertion pocket in which even a tablet the size of an iPad Air or iPad Pro can be inserted without falling out.
We give a shelf life of five years for the inflators and ten years for the electronics unit. During this time, the backpack can be used without hesitation. Even after a deployment, the airbag fabric can be checked independently for damage and does not need to be sent in for maintenance. After the specified number of years since the date of manufacture, we can check the electronics. We will replace the inflator free of charge if you do not have a deployment within this period.
This means you can use the backpack for a lifetime.

Yes, you can use the backpack in the rain as it is rainproof.
For safety reasons, we must specify an expiration date of 5 years. If you do not trigger the inflator within this period, we will replace it free of charge. We will then recycle your expired inflator.
The delivery time is currently 3-5 working days.
Troubleshooting
Check whether you have really inserted the inflator correctly and whether the safety pin is seated properly? Another option could be the battery. Is the battery charged? You can check the battery status in the Minerva-AS app.
Certification
The electronics of all our products have been tested by TÜV Straubing. The inflators have been certified and regularly audited by the BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Testing in Berlin). We received TÜV-SÜD certification for the protective effect of our airbag vest (Opus or Skyvest), which we developed before the airbag backpacks. The protection zones of the chest and neck airbags for the bicycle products and the
deployment were tested by TÜV Rheinland in cooperation with the company EVOC. The MASE AIRDING does not have its own certification as a product, as the airbags installed in the AIRDING only differ from our other products in terms of their airbag shape. The airbags were developed in extensive test and development cycles in cooperation with the LMU Munich and the TH Aachen. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can say with a clear conscience that they function safely. We use our patented inflation unit, a TÜV-certified electronic unit and release device. The AIRDING back protector is also TÜV-certified.
